Everyone is not turning to plastic surgery…
Not all movie stars are turning to plastic surgeons to make time stand still. Many high profile people are still choosing to opt out of the surgical alternatives that so many seem to take for granted in today’s world. Following is just one example in this growing trend:
"In a world where celebrities try to hold back time with Botox and more, Hollywood stars who choose to age gracefully make headlines.
The latest turned 59 on Dec. 8 and, according to her 17-year-old daughter is choosing a more natural approach to aging.
You are the most naturally beautiful woman there ever was and will be. Your skin care, workouts and advice on eating healthy inspire me to do the same,” Baldwin, whose father is Alec Baldwin, said on her mother’s birthday. Ladies, if you want to avoid Botox and any other skin treatments, listen to my mom! She hasn’t had one treatment done because she’s stay completely out of the sun all these years!”
This may be an encouraging development for many of those people desperate to try every possible solution to fight nature.
Plastic surgery isn’t just for women
According to various plastic surgeons, there are many reasons males are choosing to explore plastic surgery options. The workplace demands that men stay at the top of their game and appearance counts in the dog eat dog corporate world. Plastic surgery can increase a person ‘s self-esteem and self worth.
Men are also spending more time than ever trying to look their best for their significant others. In a time when the metrosexual is commonplace, it should not be surprising that males are choosing to have cosmetic procedures performed.
Unfortunately, many men are also ignorant of some of the dangers and pitfalls of surgical procedures, so it is the duty of every surgeon to try to educate males on the potential hazards and risks that come with plastic surgery. The times they are a changing…
My plastic surgery story
I know I am not the first person to have a negative experience with cosmetic surgery, but here is my story:
Plastic surgeons in Tucson AZ examined me all over. Together with his nurse, he required pictures. Then, after I was outfitted and relaxing in front of him, he requested to see me. After I asked for a couple of suggestions, he stated: “Well, it is dependent on how much you are prepared to spend to alter your flaws.” What exactly is it? I left and cried the entire way home. I suppose, facial lines are regarded as flaws?
Jerk physician Two. Several birthday celebrations and lots of facial lines later, I am still searching. Within an interview I have had having a nurse who worked for a doctor, she pointed out a cosmetic surgeon in Arizona. One Hundred Dollars consultation fee, he explained which I need a ton of labor. “His fee is going to be about Fifteen Thousand Dollars!
After 2 yrs., another chance came about when my boyfriend made a decision to have laser skin work done. I arrived and loved the doctor. Furthermore I liked that he was a board licensed cosmetic surgeon, and that he is the owner of his laser, which shows that he has experience.
I felt comfortable speaking to him. He was very friendly and really spoke to me like I was a person. I couldn’t schedule my surgery for a few weeks, but good things were to come.
For several weeks after my successful surgery I had a chance to contemplate the entire process:
What is the difference between negative and positive cosmetic surgery? Costs? Status? Personality? After surgery, I had sufficient time to consider all of the above and in the end it was a little bit of both, but the most important factor was the successful surgery and my new found self esteem boost. Sometimes the most costly surgeon isn’t necessarily the very best. Personally, I needed someone who helped me feel at ease and spoke to me like a human being.
